Maddington is a small settlement and former civil parish on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England. It is on the River Till. Its nearest town is Amesbury, six miles away to the south east. At the time of the Domesday Book (1086), the manor was held by Amesbury Abbey. In 1825 the parish contained seventy-eight houses and had a population of 369.〔Benjamin Pitts Capper, ''A topographical dictionary of the United Kingdom'' (G.B.
